Pearls from the arctic

The next time-lapse was shot in Grøtfjord, just one hour drive from Tromsø, on the 16th of September. As you can see in the video, it was not completely dark, but the northern light showed her best dress.

As it was a very nice arch of a northern light, I decided not to stop to take pictures (framing, checking, adjusting settings... takes a lot of time) and just shoot a time-lapse. Then, I could work with the frames in my computer when bad weather came.

Each frame was shot with ISO 1600, 4 seconds exposure time and f=2.8
The final montage on the video was set with 12 frames per second, which means that 1 second in the video is actually 48 seconds in reality.

I used Youtube's music library to add the track (Wedding invitation, by Jason Farnham).

Do you like the video? Would you suggest improvements? Just send me a message to my facebook page, my e-mail or leave a comment!
