Hillesøya, one of the western islands from Tromsø, is a gold mine for northern lights. It can become extremely windy (arctic seas are quite rough), but wind helps on getting rid of clouds, so... no pain, no gain!
This picture was shot on a very windy night, so the tripod had to be standing really low, to avoid vibrations.
